One small mistake that kept me from creating successful ads for local businesses.

A man fixing his business.

If you’re looking for a way to make your ads more effective, capture more attention and get you more clients… this article will show you exactly that.

I remember back when I wrote my first ad. It was really frustrating.

Even though I studied marketing and communication when I’m in school. I still struggled to come up with an exciting ad.

Don’t get me wrong, I already analyzed those ad campaigns from big and successful companies in the world, just like the school teaches.

But when I tried to use that knowledge to write an ad for our local business… I had no idea how to do it! Plus, I don’t even have millions of dollars for ad budgets like those companies.

I was so confused and started questioning myself, if I really had the skills to do it.

Searching for things that made ads effective.

Determined to find a solution, I tried to uncover the secrets of successful advertising.

I studied famous ad campaigns and read advice from experts.

But the more I learned, the more confusing it became.

Some people said to use memes and jokes. Others said that wasn’t professional.

Some sources said to repeat my message again and again. Others said repetition annoys people and makes them avoid buying from you.

While I have a lot of information and advice, it still seems like there were no clear answers on what worked best.

Feeling desperate, I decided to copy popular ads from major successful companies, hoping for the best.

But when I showed it to my colleagues, they weren’t impressed.

The ad doesn’t grab their attention or inspire them to take action.

The keys that made effective ads.

Unwilling to give up, I turned into my mentor Arno who had a lot of successful experience in advertising.

He changed the whole perspective on creating ads.

The thing is, it isn't about impressing or copying others, it's about creating a message that truly resonates with the audience.

A new way to write ads.

With this new information, I changed my approach.

I focused all my effort on understanding the audience's needs and desires, conducting more research to gather insights.

With this knowledge, I started to craft ads that specifically directed into the audience's heart.

Storytelling creates deepful connection.

The game changer element was storytelling.

I learned that stories have the power to engage the reader on a deeper level.

By understanding deeply into their problems, I was able to create ads that deeply resonated with the audience's experience. I was able to evoke emotions and made a lasting impact.
